Satin Spar is a relatively soft form of gypsum and can be scratched, chipped or damaged with rough handling.
Handle gently and avoid dropping.
Clean with a soft, dry cloth.
Avoid soaking or prolonged exposure to water.
Keep away from harsh chemicals, perfumes and cleaning products.
Do not use ultrasonic or steam cleaners.
Avoid placing harder crystals directly against the surface, as they may scratch it.
Take particular care around the edges and rim of the bowl.
Please Note

Satin Spar is a fibrous variety of Gypsum. You may see Satin Spar sold as “Selenite” elsewhere, as both are varieties of gypsum. However, Satin Spar and true Selenite have different crystal structures and appearances. We use the name Satin Spar so you know exactly what you're purchasing.
Curious about the difference? You can read our Selenite vs Satin Spar: What's the Difference? guide in the Sunflower Hollows Learning Library. Selenite vs Satin Spar: What's the Difference?
The term “Yin Yang” is the name used by our supplier for this two-tone style and refers to the contrasting appearance of the peach and white sections. It is a descriptive/trade name rather than a mineral classification.
As this is a natural Satin Spar piece, each bowl will have its own variations in colour, texture, fibrous structure and natural markings. The peach and white sections may vary slightly in tone and pattern.
The approximately 10cm measurement refers to the overall size of the bowl, but natural stone pieces may vary slightly in dimensions and shape.
Colours may appear slightly different from the photographs depending on lighting, photography and your screen settings.
The traditional crystal meanings, associations and intentions described on this website are based on cultural traditions and modern metaphysical practices. They are not scientifically proven and are provided for educational and personal-interest purposes only.
